How to get from Milan to Lake Como
Take the train from Milano Centrale early in the morning to Varenna. The ride only takes one hour. I personally recommend to buy the tickets the day before. Still, make sure to arrive 30 minutes in advance to find the correct train platform as it was quite confusing in our case.
There are also other train destinations, apart from Varenna, like Como for example. However, we decided to do Varenna and Belaggio for the day for a more relaxed pace.
